Opening of Canada’s first Kimpton Hotel

June 19th, 2018 marks the grand opening of Canada’s first Kimpton Hotel. Kimpton is a chain of boutique hotels now owned by Intercontinental Hotel Group. Shurway gutted and converted the former Holiday Inn on Bloor Street and carefully transformed it into the Kimpton branded St. George Hotel. The renovation of this 14 floor building included 188 guest rooms and corridors as well as a new main entrance lobby and dining facilities.
