The Restoration of the Crystal Ballroom

Since the 1970’s the Crystal Ballroom, located on the 17th floor of the King Edward Hotel has been abandoned. Once a hotspot for socialites in the early-mid 1900’s, this piece of prime Toronto real estate was deemed not occupiable due to increased safety and fire regulations. Thanks to the owners of the building, Omni Hotels and Resorts, that is all about to change. The company, in partnership with Shurway Contracting Ltd. plans to spend $6.5 million in renovations to restore this room to its original grandeur. By early 2017, the Crystal Ballroom will again be available to book your social events.
